The question
How can muscle-function measurements become accessible and usable for older adults?
The approach
At the Smart Biomedical Lab, I worked on a muscle function assessment device combining a load cell and an inertial measurement unit. The system communicates using Bluetooth Low Energy.
The project included a mobile app for real-time sensing and accessible interaction for older adults, in collaboration with Korea University Medicine and KAIST.
My contribution
Developed a load-cell and IMU device with Bluetooth Low Energy and a mobile app for real-time sensing and interaction for older adults.
A connected question
This parallel project connects hardware with HCI by asking how measured signals can become information people can access and use.
